I believe that the experience of getting your picture taken by a professional photographer can be one of the most incredibly fun and fulfilling experiences.
It may go without saying but it’s really important that you love the photographer’s work. Hopefully, you love mine. If you do, these are the steps in my process that I use to create the quality of images you see on this site.
I BELIEVE THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT TO CREATING AMAZING IMAGES IS THE CHEMISTRY BETWEEN A PHOTOGRAPHER AND HER SUBJECT.
The first step in the process is for us to have a 20 minute in-person or phone consultation. During our call, we will both be able to determine if the chemistry between us is a good fit. If it is, that is a really strong foundation with which to work together. We will also discuss the reason behind why you’re interested in being photographed, how you’d like to be photographed, what to wear during the shoot and any other questions you might have.
After we get off the call, you’ll go into your wardrobe and start picking out pieces for the shoot. If you need to fill in the gaps by borrowing, renting or buying new clothes, this will give you enough time to do so. The more invested you are in the preparation process, the better your images will be!
On the morning of the photo shoot, you’ll come to the studio to have your hair and makeup done by one of my team. I work with amazing artists who specialize in makeup for photography. They will make you look like the best version of you.
Most people are a bit nervous to have their photo taken, but after 10-15 minutes, everyone takes a deep breath and relaxes into the experience. I will direct, pose and light you so that you look incredible.
MY GOAL IS TO GET YOU TO THE POINT THAT YOU RELAX & HAVE FUN WHILE WE ARE CREATING IMAGES THAT YOU WILL LOVE.
Within a week, you will come back to the studio to see a selection of the best images and will choose which images you’d like to purchase. I can’t stress this enough: I do not hard sell. You only purchase the images that you love.
